The past four days we havn't had power over at my fiance's family's house. The ice storm hit Sabetha hard. Trees are down and lines are down everywhere. Ice covers everything. It is beautiful and destructive. I am starting to see how dependant I really am upon electricity! We are getting pretty creative with cooking these days. Grilling out, cold cereal and sandwiches have been mainstays. I am writing this from the library. The town's only grocery store lost 12,000 dollars worth of ice cream because of the storm. I didn't know that was possible till then. That's a lot of ice cream.

I am going to be so much more thankful for electricity as soon as we get it back. At this point we don't expect it to be back till late next week. Pray that it comes back before Christmas because my fiance's family needs to travel to Columbus for the wedding and they have farm animals to take care of...electricity is needed.

The wedding is in less than 14 days. I leave for Columbus Christmas day to prepare the final details. Andrew flies out Thursday. This is really happening. I am excited. We are going somewhere WARM for our honeymoon. Sanibel Island in Florida...no ice storms there! I am excited. I am also starting to dream about the wedding quite regularly at night.
